Beautiful origami flowers
I made these origami flowers from the book Making Origami Cards Step by Step (A Kid’s Guide to Origami) by Micheal G. LaFosse instructions can be found on page 12 and13 (This book has many great ideas for making origami cards for all occasions, Halloween, mother’s day, Christmas, birthdays and more. Perfect for kids with very easy diagrams for animals, flowers and fruits. As well as, ideas for using your origami to make greeting cards).
These little flowers were very easy to make with 6 simple steps. Two pieces of origami paper were needed to make this flower, one for the top of the flower and one for the bottom. I used a very small square of origami paper measuring 4 inches by 4 inches so I could make smaller flowers that would fit on a card. Use different colors of paper to make a colorful flower bouquet. I used scrapbook paper from My Minds Eye Simply Delightful pack. The paper is very large so I had to make my own origami paper by folding the edges into a triangle shape and cutting them out. I chose a simple swirly green paper for the bottom of the flowers. For the tops of the flowers, I used a pretty red paper with white polka dots, a colorful paper with stripes and brown paper with vines and multi colored leaves.

How to make an origami flower card
Fold any color of paper in half, I used blue.
Trim the edges with any type of fancy scissors. I used my seagull scissors.
Glue your origami flowers on top of the top of the card as shown.
Make it a birthday, mother’s day or baby shower card. I made mine a birthday card for which I used my Happy birthday stamp with black stamp ink.
